Dr Amanda Patterson from the University of Newcastle says that mild iron deficiency can cause nervousness, sadness and carelessness in women. She further said that iron deficiency slows down their mental performance and could even frustrate efforts to lose weight.
She said these words at a recent MLA symposium for health professionals where she shared her research with the audience.
