News reports indicate that relationship between the Pakistan’s coalition have restrained. The cause of this strained relation is Mr. Nawaz’s refusal to help pass a constitutional amendment.

Mr. Zardari wants to abolish Article 58-2(b) of the constitution, which gives president the dissolve assembly. It is said that Mr. Nawaz’s attitude forced him to bid for presidency because he does not want a non-PPP person sitting in the presidency armed with 58-2(b).
