Is Zardari innocent?

Posted on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 06:35AM by Registered CommenterMunaeem in | CommentsPost a Comment

Switzerland has released Mr. Zardari’s $60 millions dollars, which were frozen in 1997 at the request of Pakistani government. It is said that the cases have been dropped after Pakistan’s attorney general in June to Swiss authorities that he has closed Mr. Zardari’s cases. However, the comment of Daniel Devaud, the judge in Geneva who originally investigated the charges, gives us different impression. He said closure of cases should not be interpreted as a sign of Mr. Zardari’s innocence.

The question is : How and where did Mr. Zardari earn this huge money?

Did he pay taxes to the relevant authorities in Pakistan?
