Why is Hungary's Prime Minister against immigrants?

Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, has been known for his anti-immigrant stance, which he has expressed on several occasions

.
Orban believes that illegal immigrants arriving in Europe pose a public security and terror risk and that there is a clear link between illegal immigrants and a rising threat of terrorism

.
Orban has also described the arrival of asylum seekers in Europe as "a poison" and has said that Hungary does not want or need "a single migrant"

.
However, there is no evidence that immigrants in Hungary have done any harm to people or the country. During the 2015-16 European migrant and refugee crisis, the European Union asked Hungary to find homes for 1,294 refugees, but the Hungarian government spent approximately 28 million euros on a xenophobic anti-immigrant campaign instead of accepting the EU decision

.
Moreover, Hungary's treatment of refugees is tied to a strain of Hungarian anti-Semitism and xenophobia that dates back to the end of World War II

In conclusion, Hungary's Prime Minister is against immigrants due to his belief that they pose a public security and terror risk. However, there is no evidence that immigrants in Hungary have done any harm to people or the country.
