FRV Visa : Wife expecting a baby. Baby's name not in FRV visa

I applied for my wife's FRV 8 months back and we are expecting a baby IA in 3 months, what would be the procedure now to apply for the baby so that both my wife and kid can come at the same time here? Applying from Islamabad embassy.

It's great to hear that your wife's FRV application is in process and you're expecting a baby soon! Here's how you can generally approach applying for your newborn child's visa so they can travel with your wife:
1. Contact the German Embassy in Islamabad Immediately
 * Inform them about your situation: Explain that your wife's FRV is pending and you have a baby due soon. Ask for specific instructions on how to proceed with a visa application for your newborn.
 * Inquire about adding your child to your wife's existing application: It might be possible to add your child to your wife's ongoing FRV application. This could potentially streamline the process and avoid a separate application.
 * Confirm document requirements: Get a clear list of the necessary documents for your baby's visa application. This will likely include the baby's birth certificate, passport, and possibly a declaration of consent from both parents.
2. Prepare the Necessary Documents
 * Ensure you have all the required documents for your baby's visa application as soon as possible after the birth.
 * If your wife's FRV is approved before your baby is born, inform the embassy and inquire about the process of adding your newborn to her visa.
3. Submit Your Child's Visa Application
 * As soon as you have all the required documents and the embassy advises you to proceed, submit your child's visa application.
 * Pay the applicable visa fee.
4. Attend the Visa Interview (if required)
 * It's possible that you, your wife, or both of you might be required to attend a visa interview with your baby.
Important Considerations:
 * Timing is crucial: Since your baby is due in 3 months, act quickly to get the process started.
 * Processing times: Visa processing times can vary. Inquire about the estimated processing time for your baby's visa and factor that into your plans.
 * Travel with an infant: Be prepared for the challenges of traveling with a newborn. Ensure you have all the necessary supplies and make arrangements for your baby's comfort during the journey.
Remember:
 * This is general guidance. Always rely on the official information and instructions provided by the German Embassy in Islamabad.
 * Contact the embassy as soon as possible to discuss your specific situation and get the most accurate and up-to-date advice.
I hope this helps! Congratulations on your growing family!
