Plum is referred to as a multivitamin fruit due to its abundance of vitamins A, B2, B3, B6, C, K, and P as well as lime, phosphorus, steel, carbohydrates, fiber, copper, manganese, and potassium. There are distinct phytonutrients and phenols in addition to selenium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium. Plums can prevent diabetes and blood pressure.
Antioxidants in plum lower the risk of developing cancer.
Additionally, it benefits both physical and mental health.
It is regarded as an elixir for liver health and lowers cholesterol levels.
It has a significant potassium content. Therefore, it also controls BP.
Useful in sugar:
The bioactive ingredients in plums help prevent diabetes. While the fiber in it slows the body’s absorption of carbohydrates, it also makes it simpler for diabetics to manage the disease’s serious complications.
Digestive system improvement:
The best fruit for getting dietary fiber is a plum. Additionally, it aids in the efficient removal of dirt from the body.
The best remedy for people who are constipated may be plums.
Beneficial for eyesight:
Because vitamin C and beta carotene are beneficial for maintaining eye health, fruits high in these nutrients can aid in doing so.
Plums are a fruit rich in lutein and carotene, two antioxidants that protect against the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
Improve blood circulation:
Plums have sufficient amounts of iron and copper, which aid in the production of red blood cells, as well as vitamin K and potassium, which increase the body’s capacity to absorb iron. The anemia is thus cured, the blood is purified, and the circulation is enhanced.
Body heat treatment:
Because of their colder temperament, plums effectively remove body heat, slake thirst, and keep the body warm.
Plums can help those who experience heat-related headaches.

Discover the reason for the first time
This was revealed in a new medical study .
A joint study by the University of Bristol in the UK and Auckland University in New Zealand found that a protein cell GLP1 regulates both the body’s blood sugar and blood pressure.
“We have known for a long time that blood pressure and diabetes are linked, and now we know the cause, which could help in the development of new treatments,” the researchers said.
GLP1 secretes food into the stomach and acts as a stimulant for insulin to control blood sugar levels. The sensory organ stimulates the carotid artery.
The research used the genomic technique RNA sequencing to determine the effects of genes on mice.
These animals were protected from high blood sugar and it was discovered that the receptor GLP1 in the carotid is sensitized but this receptor is not very active in mice affected by high blood pressure.
“We never expected to see this role of GLP1, so it’s a great discovery,” the researchers said.
Carotid is the place where GLP1 controls blood sugar and blood pressure at the same time, he said.
Patients with high blood pressure or diabetes have an increased risk of fatal coronary heart disease complications, even after taking medication.
This is because most medicines treat only the symptoms and not the causes of blood pressure and blood sugar.
The researchers said that drugs have already been approved for the treatment of GLP1 receptors that are commonly used in diabetics, but they can also lower blood pressure by lowering blood sugar levels.
The results of this study were published in the medical journal Circulation Research
