The tropical neem tree, also known as neem, produces seeds that are used to make neem oil. It’s a miracle of beauty. It is known as “sarva roga nivarini” in India, which translates to “cure for all ailments.”

Neem oil has numerous health benefits that extend from head to toe, such as the way it deeply moisturizes the skin, fights wrinkles and mycosis, promotes hair growth, and prevents hair loss. It also has anti-acne and anti-mycosis properties. Although it is not as well-known as, say, argan oil, linseed oil, or tea tree oil, it is still worthwhile to include in your home medicine collection.

The fatty acids linoleic, oleic, and palmitic acid, nimbidin, vitamin C, vitamin E, triglycerides, and antioxidants are all abundant in neem oil. It has potent antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. Pick only cold-pressed oils to get the most out of it.

Given its potency, neem oil is best combined with other base oils, diluted with water, or added sparingly to creams, serums, or body lotions.

Neem oil works very well in combination with rosehip seed oil (it will accelerate the regeneration of the epidermis) and with tea tree oil – it will help in the fight against acne.

Neem oil for hair – how to use it?

For dry, dull, and chemically treated hair, neem oil is especially advised. It can weigh down people with thin, weak hair, so they should use it with caution.

Most frequently, a rub is created using neem oil. Massage it into the scalp after diluting it 1:1 with a base oil, such as avocado, coconut, or sweet almond oil. After about 30 minutes, remove it, shampoo your hair, and then rinse. Use two to three times a week for best results.

Apply a few drops of the oil to washed, slightly damp hair. They will be easier to comb and shine beautifully.

If your strands are frizzy, rough or dull, add 1-2 drops of neem oil to your favorite shampoo/conditioner/mask.
