Silence of the international community over the killings in Burma

I am shocked at the silence of the international community over the killings in Burma. According to reports Burmese security forces have killed two-hundred protestors and arrested more than a thousand.

Though United Nations envoy Ibrahim Gambari warns Burma’s military rulers of “serious international repercussions”. But I think UN will not be able to take any against the military rulers because of Chinese and Russian oppositions. These two countries January vetoed a US-drafted Security Council resolution in January on on grounds that the Myanmar crisis was not a threat to international peace and security, the council’s mandate.

Chinese say that the world should not interfere in the internal affairs of Burma.
