University Study Says Honey is “Significantly Better”

honey-cough-syryp Cough syrups can serious side effects in children, according to a study conducted by an FDA panel conducted at the State University.  Doctors who and researchers who took part in the study said that Honey is better than dextromethorphan (cough syrup).

The big question is: What should parents give their children when their children are suffering from cough?

Researchers recommend honey. There are many over-the-counter cough medicines that are prepared with honey and other natural ingredients.

Researchers at Pennsylvania State University’s College of Medicine  gave 105 children age 2 to 18 honey. These children were suffering from upper respiratory tract infections. They reached the collection that honey provides better relief to children.

Even the World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended honey as an effective cough remedy
