A new smartphone brand, Hinova , was launched in China . Hinova 9 and Hinova 9 Pro are nothing but licensed Huawei phones.
Huawei, unable – as a result of US sanctions – to produce smartphones with 5G, found a way to do it: licenses. Thanks to this, the official manufacturer of the new Hinova 9 and Hinova 9 Pro models is the new Chinese post office, i.e. China Post Communications Equipment.
Huawei only grants a license by providing a complete phone design – from the case to the software. Due to the fact that the manufacturer of the device is the Chinese post office – Huawei may include elements covered by the embargo in the project – after all, it does not appear here as a manufacturer.
Technically, the Hinova 9 and Hinova 9 Pro are simply rebranded Huawei Nova 9 and Huawei Nova 9 Pro . Only the processors have been changed – in the Hinov models we will find Snapdragons 778G, as in the original – but this time equipped with a working 5G modem.
In Hinova 9 we will see an OLED display with a diagonal of 6.57 inches, FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As in the original , this model also includes a 4300 mAh battery with 66-watt charging, 8 GB of RAM, a 32-megapixel selfie camera or a rear camera with 50 + 8 + 2 + 2 Mpx matrices. Hinova 9 is offered in versions with 128 or 256 GB internal memory, and the prices are respectively 2999 and 3399 yuan.
The Hinova 9 Pro , on the other hand, has a 6.72-inch screen, but it is still OLED with 120 Hz refresh and FHD + resolution. The cameras are the same as in the Hinova 9 , but the battery is only 4000 mAh – but it charges with 100 W. Also here we will see 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB internal memory, priced at 3799 respectively and 4199 yuan. After conversion, the prices are 599-660 USD or 2440-2699 PLN.
