Nick Kyrgios is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Chiara Passari, in December.
Kyrgios, 27, is in court on August 2 in the ACT.

In a statement, ACT police said a 27-year-old man from Canberra’s Watson neighbourhood was scheduled to attend the ACT Magistrates’ Court on that date.

Passari, Kyrgios’ ex-girlfriend, was allegedly assaulted.

Next month, Kyrgios will likely be charged with assault.

The maximum sentence for the offense is two years in prison.

Kyrgios’ match will go on as scheduled, an All England Club spokeswoman stated.

“As Nick Kyrgios’ legal processes in Australia are continuing, we cannot comment’, a representative stated.

Nick’s team has been contacted, and he’ll play tomorrow.

Kyrgios is enjoying his finest grand slam singles performance since 2015 at the Australian Open.

His quarterfinal match against Garin on Wednesday was his second at Wimbledon, and it came after a turbulent week on the court.

Kyrgios has been fined more than $20,000 for his on-court behaviour at the grass-court grand slam.
