Vivo confirms the chipset that will power the vivo S15e

Just before the official premiere of the S15 series, Vivo confirmed another detail about one of the models. This time it’s about the Vivo S15e and the system that will drive it.

The next generation of the S family will appear under the name of Vivo S15 and will consist of three smartphones – the basic one, the Pro and the S15eE. So far, we have learned a lot about their specifications. So it is known that the basic model will include the Snapdragon 870 chip, while the Pro variant will reach the Dimensity 8100. Only the chipset to drive the Vivo S15e remained a mystery, although we guessed it would be the Exynos system.

Now we have official confirmation that Exynos 1080 will be placed in this model. Information appeared just before the premiere, on the manufacturer’s website on the JD.com auction site. It is worth recalling that this is the same system that was included in the Chinese variant of last year’s flagship vivo X70 Pro.

Other specification details were also confirmed. So we know that the smartphone will be equipped with a maximum of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in memory. It will support fast charging with a power of 66 W, which, according to the manufacturer, will charge the smartphone 50% in just 20 minutes. It was also confirmed that the main camera will have a resolution of 50 Mpix.

We know from unofficial sources that the device is to be equipped with an OLED display with a diagonal of 6.44 inches, FullHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The selfie camera, placed in the “u” -shaped indentation, will have 16 megapixels. Leaks also revealed that the battery will offer us a capacity of 4700 mAh.
