Scientists have provided more evidence of the harmful effects of soft drinks

BEIJING: Despite the fact that there is a lot of research on the consumption of soft drinks and the medical harm they can cause. However, experts have presented new evidence in this regard and claimed that excessive and ongoing sugar use in soft drinks can cause 45 harmful changes in the body. These drinks, which can increase medical complications, include canned fruit juices and soda soft drinks. After extensive research, Chinese and American experts have presented the study’s findings.

Scientists have carefully reviewed 8,601 research papers and reports and said that 45 types of complications can occur due to sugar in drinks, especially sugar. Even one glass of soft drink a week can be harmful.

First off, soft drinks make you gain weight. Second, it nearly doubles the risk of premature death and raises the risk of heart attack and stroke by 17% and 4%, respectively. Then, ten diseases, such as obesity, high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancer, etc., become more prevalent. Asthma, tooth decay, and depression are some other serious conditions.

The British Medical Journal published the meta-study (BMJ). Fruit juice containing 25 grammes of fructose per day can increase the risk of pancreatic cancer by 22%. As a result, experts have advised against consuming any canned juice, soft drinks, or smoothies.
