Deep sleep linked to blood sugar control

A new study has shown that people who sleep calmly and deeply can significantly reduce blood sugar.

Several previous studies have shown that lack of sleep is also a cause of increased blood sugar and continuous sleep disturbances can also cause type 2 diabetes.

However, in the latest research, the effects of deep sleep on blood sugar were seen, which showed that it improves the mental and nervous system and increases the process of making insulin.

According to the research published in the medical journal ‘Cell Reports Medicine’, experts from the University of California conducted two phases of research to examine the effects of deep sleep on blood sugar.

During the research, the experts tested 647 people in the first phase and 1996 people in the second phase and also recorded their blood sugar and insulin levels.

The results showed that people who slept deeply and peacefully at night had significantly lower blood sugar levels the next day.

Experts discovered that by taking deep sleep, the waves of special parts of the brain activate the nervous system of the human body and this process increases the ability of a special hormone called insulin.

According to experts, due to the improvement of hormone capacity by deep sleep, the level of sugar in human blood starts to decrease and by continuing this process continuously, diabetes can also be protected from type 2.

During the research, experts noted that the blood sugar of all the volunteers remained under control after deep sleep.

In addition, experts found that deep sleep also causes the heart rate to run in order, while the arteries working for blood delivery also expand, which probably keeps blood pressure under control.
