The prevalent test to identify Alzheimer’s and dementia has its flaws, but now a team of international scientists has developed a new blood test that can reliably predict the disease accurately.
Traditionally, brain imaging, cell analysis, and other methods are used to identify Alzheimer’s. These include lumbar puncture, in which a tube can be inserted in the lower part of the waist and analyzed by taking cerebrospinal fluid coming from the brain. Then tau proteins and amuloids are detected in them. This process is very expensive and painful.
